Terms of Use
What Fabulous does with what you drop on it.
Version 2026-08-draft
This is a draft. It is published so that nobody is asked to accept terms they cannot read, and it is not yet reviewed by a lawyer. The bracketed values below are unfilled. It will be replaced before Fabulous leaves beta, and the version string above is what your account records.
1. What Fabulous is
Fabulous turns a technical drawing, a triangle mesh or a point cloud into editable CAD. You drop a file, an automated engineering agent writes and runs a parametric model to reproduce it, and you download the result as a STEP file.
It is operated by [legal entity name, address, company number] ("we", "us").
2. Beta, and what that means for the output
Fabulous is beta software and its output is generated automatically, without human review. A model it builds may be wrong in ways that are not obvious from looking at it: a missing feature, a dimension read off the wrong side of a line, a tolerance that was never on the drawing to begin with.
Nothing Fabulous produces is verified engineering, and none of it is fit for manufacture as delivered. Check every model against your own source of truth before you cut, print, quote or ship anything from it. You remain the engineer; the agent executes.
3. Your account
Signing in is through Google, and that is the only way in. We receive the email address on your Google account and use it to identify you, to count your runs and to contact you about the service.
A beta account is limited to 3 runs. We may change that limit, and we may suspend or close an account that is being used to attack the service or to work around the limit.
4. Your files, and where they go
When you drop a file, it:
- is uploaded to our servers, where the job runs;
- is sent to our model provider, Anthropic, because reading your drawing or your scan is what the agent does. It is processed under Anthropic's commercial terms;
- is stored in our object storage in [Azure region] and deleted after 30 days, together with the STEP we produced from it;
- has a copy, and a small preview image, recorded in our analytics (PostHog) so that a run you report as broken can still be reproduced. That copy ages out on roughly the same 30-day horizon.
Your account record itself is kept until you ask us to erase it — it is what holds your run count, so deleting it would simply hand out a fresh quota.
We do not use your files to train models, and we do not sell them or hand them to anyone other than the processors named above.
5. What you must not drop on it
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload:
- files you are not allowed to disclose to a third-party service;
- personal data, beyond what is unavoidably in a drawing's title block;
- classified, export-controlled or defence-restricted material;
- anything intended to attack, overload or extract data from the service.
You keep every right you already had in the files you upload and in the CAD we return. We claim no ownership of either. You grant us only the permission needed to run your job and to operate the service as described above.
6. Availability and liability
The service is provided as is, with no warranty of availability, accuracy or fitness for any purpose. A beta service may be interrupted, changed or withdrawn without notice, and a job may fail.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and in particular not for the cost of parts manufactured from output you did not verify. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Getting your data back, or erased
Write to [contact email] to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or for it to be erased. We act on erasure requests within [N] days; uploads older than 30 days are already gone by then.
8. Changes, and the law
We may update these terms. The version string on this page changes with them, and your account records the version you accepted. Continuing to use Fabulous after a change means accepting the new version.
These terms are governed by [governing law], and the courts of [jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction.
